As a Yacht Management firm, the Accounting Department provides the vessel and Owner with Accounting and Reporting services, this unusual and exciting international client of ours is looking to add to this CY based team in Nicosia with an additional Accountant. The successful candidate will be assisting the vessel Account Managers located overseas and will enjoy a very globally dynamic role within an interesting sector and friendly environment.
Job Description
- Responsible for the book-keeping, payment processing and management account preparation.
- Reconcile bank accounts.
- Review transactions receipts, vendors, categories, and descriptions.
- Produce Annual, Quarterly & Monthly financial reports.
- Provide budget variance analysis in collaboration with the Account Manager.
- Review and process payable invoices for the vessel in accordance with the established Company approval protocols.
- Match payments with the corresponding bills in the accounting software.
- Assisting the Account Managers located overseas with any accounting related tasks.
- Assisting the department in particular with vendor/account related tasks.
- Contribute to company/department tasks and special projects as assigned.
- Normal Working hours 9am – 5am but expected flexibility given you will be working with US time zone on occasion.
- Report to the Accounting Manager, Director & Financial Controller.
Your Profile
- Minimum four (4) years of accounting experience.
- BSc in Accounting, Finance or relevant degree is preferred
- Experience with QuickBooks accounting software considered a plus.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook is essential
- Fluent in English language is essential.
- Excellent computer skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to efficiently prioritize and multi-task is essential.
- Attention to detail and follow-up is key.
