Our client is proud to be a member of a reputable International Group with offices in Switzerland, the Netherlands and Cyprus. We are currently seeking to recruit them a full-time Asistant AML/Compliance officer to join this fast-growing team in Nicosia.
The successful applicant will be responsible for implementing AML procedures and policies, providing support and assistance to the Head Compliance and will be joining a dynamic and diverse cross-border team, consisted mainly of young professionals.
Job Description
- Handle onboarding procedures and review existing customer KYC documentation to ensure compliance with AML regulations and internal policies
- Updating of clients’ records on Compliance System and work closely with the Compliance Officer for the update and maintenance of Economic Profiles and Risk Assessments
- Communicate daily with the Corporate Department for transaction monitoring purposes and request KYC data from clients when needed and before a transaction takes place
- Collaborate with Audit Firms and other associates and assist with KYC requirements when requested
- Run background checks on clients and counterparties, verifying their identity and assessing any associated risks
- Conduct periodic reviews of client’s files, documenting findings and reporting them to the Compliance Officer
- Work closely with the Compliance Officer for the submission of the reports to the Regulator
- Provide assistance and support to the Compliance Officer on other matters
Your Profile
- University Degree preferably in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Accounting or related field
- Strong understanding of EU AML Directives
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar position
- Computer literate and excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
- Good knowledge of eBos software will be considered as an advantage
- Holder of CySEC AML Certificate and/or ICPAC AML Certificate will be considered as advantage
- Excellent written and verbal language skills in English and Greek
- Solid interpersonal skills and communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills

- Time management skills and ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
