A commercial law firm with a vision to blend business and legal thinking to deliver real advantage is currently seeking to add Corporate Lawyers to their team in Nicosia, Cyprus. As an advisory business focused exclusively on commercial law, their aim is to provide premium legal support and pragmatic commercial advice with a personal touch.
Job Description
- Assist clients with matters relating to mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, corporate restructurings, loan transactions, commercial agreements, etc
- Review and prepare various legal documents, including directors’ and shareholders’ minutes / resolutions, Powers of Attorneys, agreements (such as share purchase agreements, loan agreements, pledge agreements), etc
- Assist with the incorporation or redomiciliation of legal entities in Cyprus and foreign jurisdictions and advising clients generally on matters of corporate law
- Liaise with clients, other professional advisers and public / regulatory authorities
- Assist clients with matters relating to the abovementioned
- Perform legal research (on corporate, finance and other relevant areas of law) and prepare relevant reports
Your Profile
- University Degree in Law (LLB) with a degree of at least 2:1
- Relevant experience in other ancillary areas of law, such as competition, financial regulation, employment or real estate law, will be helpful but not required.
- Cyprus Bar Exams (or similar qualifications) and LLM in Corporate / Commercial / Finance
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in a similar role
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook) and Quorum
- Fluent business level in both Greek and English language
- Strong organisational, communication and interpersonal skills
