Our client is part of an international group with more than 130 employees around the world and one of the biggest players in the classified ads sector. Active in 29 countries worldwide, they are currently hiring a Data Scientist to join a youthful and dynamic Team based in Limassol, Cyprus.
You will play a key role in shaping how data is used across the company from designing useful datasets and building dashboards, to driving forecasting and segmentation efforts that directly influence product, growth, and operational strategy.
Job Description
- Work with stakeholders across departments (marketing, product, sales, operations, finance) to understand data needs and translate them into scalable solutions.
- Identify and integrate new datasets that can be leveraged across products and reporting.
- Design and maintain analytical datasets and pipelines using ClickHouse, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB.
- Build and automate dashboards and recurring reports to support decision-making across teams.
- Lead analytical projects such as customer segmentation, forecasting, and trend analysis.
- Explore data to uncover patterns, anomalies, and actionable opportunities.
- Advocate for best practices in data modelling, metrics design, and cross-team collaboration.
- Support event tracking and work with developers to ensure reliable and clean data capture
Your Profile
- Degree in Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in a data science or analytics/data role.
- Proficiency in SQL and Python.
- Strong background in statistics, mathematics, and problem-solving.
- Experience in predictive modelling and real-world data analysis.
- Ability to lead projects independently, from discovery to delivery.
- Excellent communication skills, able to clearly explain insights to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Comfortable working in a dynamic, research-oriented environment with multiple ongoing projects.
- Fluency in English (spoken and written).
Nice-to-Have
- Experience with ClickHouse or similar modern data warehouses.
- Familiarity with dashboarding tools like Metabase, Grafana, Tableau, or Looker.
- Experience working with MongoDB and PostgreSQL.
- Background in growth, marketing, or product analytics.
- Exposure to data modelling, ETL pipelines, or ML model development.
