Job Description
Database Records Management
- Maintain databases for customer records, vessel details, and asset information
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and security
- Work with regional offices to ensure quote, order confirmation, vendors records etc. are kept up to datE
- Collaborate with mechanical engineers to understand specific data requirements related to assets and vessels
Data Verification and Merging
- Develop processes for verifying and merging duplicate or inconsistent data
- Implement data cleansing techniques to enhance data quality
- Work closely with stakeholders to resolve discrepancies
Technical Task Lists
- Collaborate with crane experts and mechanical engineers to create technical task lists
- These lists may include compliance checks, component change out method statements, inspections, maintenance schedules, and safety protocols
- Ensure that the database captures all relevant information for technical procedures
Performance Optimization:
- Monitor database performance and optimize queries
- Collaborate with mechanical engineers to fine-tune data retrieval processes
- Identify bottlenecks and propose improvements
User Support and Training:
- Assist end users in accessing and utilizing the database effectively
- Provide training on data entry, retrieval, and reporting
- Address user queries promptly
- Manage & track change requests, prioritize and present recommended changes to management team
- Create training info using Scribe app
Database Development Scheduling / Planning
- Create software development task lists
- Assist with assigning development tasks
- Track development task progress
- Manage and update development timeline
- Manage database update test plans
Your Profile
- Understanding of mechanical systems, equipment, and terminology
- Ability to translate mechanical requirements into database design
- Proficiency in SQL for querying and managing databases
- Knowledge of database administration tools and techniques
- Experience with data modeling and schema design
- Analytical mindset to troubleshoot data-related issues
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Effective communication with mechanical engineers, software engineers, management, and end users
- Documentation skills for maintaining technical task lists
- Fluency in English (verbal and writing)
Benefits
- Working hours; Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 17:00 or 09:00 – 18:00
- Holiday allowance: 20 days plus Cyprus public holidays
