As part of their continued growth, they are now seeking a Head of Accounting to lead their finance function and contribute to the strategic financial management of the firm.
Job Description
- Lead and manage the accounting department, overseeing the accounting and relevant filings for a number of Cyprus companies
- Ensure accurate and timely preparation of accounting records and financial statements
- Monitor and report on the financial VAT and tax affairs
- Ensure full compliance with internal controls, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements
- Develop and enhance accounting processes, systems, and procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy
- Coordinate and support internal and external audit processes
- Provide financial insights and strategic recommendations to senior management and stakeholders
- Stay up to date with changes in financial regulations and legislation
- Ensure accurate VAT treatment and reporting across all relevant jurisdictions
Your Profile
- ACA/ACCA qualified
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business; a relevant postgraduate qualification will be considered an advantage
- Minimum of 8+ years’ experience in a senior accounting or finance role, ideally with exposure to both local and international environments
- Strong knowledge of accounting standards and very good knowledge of VAT legislation and reporting requirements
- Solid understanding of investment management and funding structures
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint)
- Strong analytical, organizational, and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication skills in Greek and English, both written and spoken
- Strategic thinker with strong leadership capabilities
