Our client is part of a group of companies involved in the property and construction industry in the UK. They are seeking an experienced and commercially astute Head of Finance to lead their finance function and drive strategic financial decision-making across the business. This role will be instrumental in shaping financial policies, managing risk, and supporting the company’s growth objectives through insightful analysis and stakeholder engagement, including direct interface with banks and external partners.
Job Description
- Lead and manage all financial operations including budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, reporting, and analysis.
- Lead and manage a team of 25-30 in Cyprus and overseas
- Provide strategic guidance to senior leadership on financial matters to support decision-making and business growth.
- Oversee the preparation of timely and accurate financial reports in compliance with relevant regulatory requirements.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with banks, auditors, and other financial institutions.
- Ensure robust financial controls, compliance, and risk management frameworks are in place and maintained.
- Drive process improvements and automation to increase efficiency and accuracy within the finance team.
- Manage cash flow, working capital, and oversee treasury functions.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to the finance team, fostering a high-performance culture.
- Play a key role in strategic projects including funding rounds, M&A activities, or financial system upgrades.
- Will report to the CFO and CEO
Your Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting and finance or equivalent. Post graduate degree will be considered an advantage
- ACA or ACCA qualified (or equivalent).
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in accounting, finance or corporate-related roles, with at least 5 years in a senior managerial capacity.
- Fluency in English is essential
- Strong commercial awareness and proven ability to influence strategic business decisions.
- Demonstrated experience working directly with banks and financial institutions.
- Exceptional analytical, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex information clearly.
- Excellent knowledge in financial software and reporting tools.
- Experience in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, preferably in real estate or construction.
- Experience in fundraising, capital structuring, or mergers and acquisitions.
- Exposure to international finance or multi-currency environments.
