Our client is proud to be a member of a reputable International Group with offices in Switzerland, the Netherlands and Cyprus. We are currently seeking to recruit them a full-time Junior Accountant to join this fast-growing team in Nicosia.
The successful applicant will be responsible for providing accounting and bookkeeping services to a portfolio of international clients from a range of industry sectors and will be a member of a dynamic and diverse cross-border team, consisting mainly of young professionals.
Job Description
- Bookkeeping and recording of all transactions in the accounting software for international business clients of both investment holding and trading companies
- Prepare and submit VAT/VIES returns to Cyprus authorities
- Support the audit process, preparing relevant documentation, liaising with external auditors, and completion of annual statutory audit
- Assistance in the preparation of Financial Statements and Management accounts
- Communication with clients in relation to accounting issues and tax obligations
Your Profile
- Relevant degree in a related field (Accounting/Economics/Finance)
- Partly qualified ACA/ACCA will be considered as an advantage
- 1-2 years experience as an Accountant
- Strong organizational, analytical and time management skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work both independently as well as in a team
- Good knowledge of accounting software (e.g. E-soft, Xero) will be considered as an advantage
- Good knowledge of Caseware and preparation of Financial Statements will be considered an advantage
- Computer literate and excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (especially Excel)
- Excellent command of the English language (verbal and written)
- Good knowledge of preparation and submission of VAT and VIES to be considered an advantage
