Our client, as an Asset Management Services company, is a leading management company licensed and regulated by CySEC, managing UCITS and providing MiFID services for investment portfolios on a discretionary and advisory basis. They are looking to hire a Junior Financial Accountant for their Nicosia office.
Job Description
- Perform book-keeping and maintain accounting records for a number of companies and funds under management.
- Ensure that all financial information is recorded in a complete, accurate and timely manner.
- Maintaining a structured filing system for corporate documents and filing all required supporting documentation.
- Conduct regular bank reconciliations.
- Conduct regular creditors reconciliations.
- Assist in monthly payroll calculations.
- Monitor, on a daily basis, the recognition and receipt of revenue for all funds under management.
- Monitor all transactions of all funds under management
- Upload transactions in portfolio management software for all funds under management and clients’ accounts
- Calculate the Net Asset Value (NAV) of the funds under management using portfolio management software
- Assist in the issuance of financial information and act as liaison between the company and local auditors.
- Assist in preparation of all tax returns/forms.
- Assist in preparation of the company’s budget and financial forecasts.
- Prepare bank payments for submission of fax instructions.
- Ensure the accurate and timely execution of the invoicing and cash collection process.
- Ensure compliance with the Company’s policies and procedures, professional standards and applicable laws and regulations.
- Perform any other accounting duties assigned by the Supervisory and Senior Management Team.
Your profile
- Undergraduate degree from a reputable University in Accounting/Economics or related field.
- Holder of LCCI Higher Certificate in Accounting.
- Between one (1) to three (3) minimum years of proven experience in a similar position.
- Understanding/ experience of International Reporting Standards (IFRS).
- Analytical thinking and attention to detail.
- Organisational skills, ability to work under pressure and effectively manage multiple tasks.
- Experience with financial statements preparation will be considered an advantage
- Excellent knowledge of English and Greek languages, both verbal and written.
- Computer literate (Microsoft Office Packages) with Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Knowledge of an accounting software will be considered an advantage
