Exclusively collaborating with our client, a boutique IT consulting firm with deep focus in the areas of Network Infrastructure, Security, Information Governance and Business Continuity, we are hiring a Junior Network Engineer to join this expanding team in Nicosia, Cyprus.
The successful candidate will be focused on deploying, supporting, and mastering industry-leading network solutions.
Job Description
- Provide remote and on-site technical support to end-users, assisting with hardware and software issues related to workstations and other peripherals
- Set up and deploy new PCs and printers on the corporate network, join devices to the corporate domain, and install essential 3rd-party tools, including Microsoft Office, antimalware, and other utilities
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with various versions of Microsoft Windows (Windows 7 to Windows 11), Office suite applications, printing, and other standard software installations
- Diagnose and troubleshoot user connectivity issues, such as network or printer access problems
- Assist with the deployment of IP telephony devices alongside workstations, as needed, with guidance from senior colleagues
- Maintain accurate records of support requests and resolutions, and contribute to the development of internal knowledge base documentation
Your Profile
- Holder of a BSc or BEng
- Basic understanding of Microsoft Windows operating systems (Windows 7 through Windows 11), Microsoft Office, and antimalware tools
- Familiarity with basic network troubleshooting and printing concepts
- Fluency in English and Greek is essential
- Strong communication skills for phone-based and remote support, with a customer-focused attitude
- Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
- Ability to learn and adapt to new technologies, including server-side technologies and IP telephony deployments
- Valid driver’s license is required for site visits (manual transmission)
