Looking for an energetic motivated Senior Financial Accountant to join our team in Dubai, a small friendly team in a larger group of international companies, a growing organization.

Job Description

  • Accounts Payable: Bank payments, wire transfers and cash
  • Manage accounts receivable whereas required
  • Keep authorization procedures in place
  • Preparation and recording assets, liabilities revenue, and expenses entries
  • Verify, allocate the purchasing and expenses invoices to the correct category, and prepare expenses report
  • Reconciliation of Debtors, Creditors, and /or monitoring external accountants on this task
  • Reconciliation of Banks and /or monitoring external accountants on this task
  • Reconciling transactions and resolving discrepancies
  • Review journal entries
  • Month End close Process
  • Preparation /finalization of Monthly Trial Balance.
  • Preparation of Monthly Management Accounts (Income Statement, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow).
  • Create timely and accurate accounting reports and present them to Company's executives and senior management.
  • Being able to build reporting from scratch
  • Take part in forecasting and financial standards setting processes
  • Support, oversee, and make sure that all obligatory statutory submissions to the Authorities (such as tax returns, VAT returns where applicable, licenses, forms, and payments) are fulfilled
  • Ensure that accounting procedures comply with GAAP requirements and International Accounting standards
  • Liaise with Auditors and External Accountants when applicable and provide all necessary information
  • Prepare petty cash expenses report and reconcile with actual physical cash Balance held in office
  • Payroll: Coordinate with the Payroll external providers to send monthly information for salaries such as Relevant deductions, Monthly commissions, or bonuses where applicable
  • Ensure the right dates’ payments
  • Inform about the recruitment of new employees whereas applicable
  • Arrange employment contracts for the new employees and share with payroll providers
  • Inform about any termination of employees whereas applicable
  • Check and reconcile Payroll reports and ensure the salaries are correct
  • Arrange for the money to be sent to the Payroll providers so that employees are paid (inform management so the Bank transfer to be done)
  • Giving information for the annual leaves, sick leaves, maternity, and paternity of the employees
  • Keep payroll files with payslips and payroll details in hard copies as required by law
Your Profile
  • 3 + years' experience working as an accountant
  • BS degree in Accounting٫ Business Administration, CAT (Certified Accounting Technician), or other relevant certification
  • Proven experience with typical accounting procedures
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office٫ especially Excel
  • Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process
  • Good knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and IFRs
  • Practical experience with accounting software packages
  • General Knowledge of the legitimate framework of Dubai for the Statutory obligations of Companies/Businesses and Tax Compliance aspects (Corporate Tax, Income Tax, VAT)
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with accuracy and attention to detail
  • Pleasant personality, ability to work in a group, and be self-motivated
