Our client, an authentic craftsmanship bakery in Nicosia, is seeking a passionate and driven Shop Manager to lead the store team and uphold the bakery’s commitment to quality, efficiency, and a memorable customer experience.
The Shop Manager works closely with the Sales Director to develop and implement the annual sales strategy and collaborates with the Operations Manager to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the store. The role ensures all store operations align with the Company’s standards, legal requirements, customer expectations, and business objectives.
You will also actively participate in external activities such as catering, events, and promotional sales activities. The role is responsible for ensuring all store functions are carried out effectively and cost-efficiently while working toward both the Company’s and personal performance goals.
Job Description
- Ensure the store operates smoothly, in line with the Company’s standards and specifications.
- Resolve any operational or logistical issues promptly and effectively.
- Manage customer communications and ensure any concerns or requests are addressed quickly and professionally.
- Recruit staff and conduct onboarding training for all new store employees, introducing them to company policies, values, and vision.
- Align staff with company strategy and objectives; provide guidance to help achieve targets.
- Organize regular team meetings to assign goals, review performance, resolve issues, and provide feedback to management.
- Conduct monthly cash audits and complete relevant reports.
- Train staff on accurate product ordering and execution, ensuring coordination with production and delivery departments.
- Supervise proper receipt of raw materials, verifying invoices, quantities, and quality.
- Evaluate and plan performance evaluations for all store personnel.
- Collaborate with the Marketing Department to implement the company’s marketing plans and goals.
- Monitor daily sales through the POS system and prepare monthly performance analyses based on management KPIs.
- Prepare daily production needs based on customer orders and communicate requirements to the Production Department.
- Prepare the store’s weekly staff schedule and communicate it to the Operations Manager.
- Track and update the customer Loyalty Program database daily.
- Oversee stocktaking processes for raw materials, ensure correct documentation and software updates related to stock levels (excluding production ingredients).
- Participate in the Food Safety Team and the New Product Development Team.
Your Profile
- Proven experience in a similar retail or hospitality management role (minimum 2–3 years).
- Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate, train, and develop staff.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities, with a hands-on approach to problem-solving.
- Solid understanding of customer service principles and a commitment to delivering an exceptional customer experience.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and managing competing priorities.
- Strong communication skills in both Greek and English (verbal and written).
- A proactive, detail-oriented, and results-driven mindset.
- High level of integrity and professionalism, with a strong sense of responsibility and ownership.
