Our client, an international financial services group with FinTech as its core, is looking for a Trading Platform Engineer (MT4/MT5) who is eager to deepen their technical capabilities and gradually take on more strategic responsibilities in the evolution of their trading platforms.
Job Description
- Support the administration and monitoring of MetaTrader 4 and 5 servers across multiple environments (live, demo, testing).
- Assist in the deployment, configuration, and troubleshooting of trade execution bridges (e.g., PrimeXM, OneZero, Centroid).
- Ensure smooth operation of price feeds, LP connections, and order execution flows.
- Assist in the management of trading instruments, swaps, corporate actions, and platform configurations.
- Participate in daily trade support, resolving issues related to execution, pricing, or connectivity.
- Work with senior engineers to implement and test DR/HA strategies for platform reliability.
- Contribute to plugin management and testing activities.
- Monitor performance metrics, respond to alerts, and escalate issues when needed.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams (Risk, Trading, Development, IT) and external vendors.
- Help document procedures and configurations as part of the company’s technical standardization initiative.
- Provide technical input for future platform enhancements, migrations, or regulatory improvements.
Your Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Computer Science, or similar field.
- 3–5 years of experience supporting or administering MT4 and/or MT5 trading platforms.
- Exposure to bridge or aggregator solutions (e.g., PrimeXM, OneZero, Centroid).
- Familiar with trade execution mechanics, order routing, and basic market structure concepts.
- Solid troubleshooting ability related to trade flows, pricing issues, and latency symptoms.
- Comfortable working in hybrid Linux/Windows environments.
- Good understanding of networking principles (latency, DNS, VPNs, etc.).
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a global team.
- Proficient in English (written and verbal).
Nice-to-Have
- Experience with MT4/MT5 APIs, plugin configuration, or scripting.
- Exposure to FIX protocol, bridge monitoring tools, or latency-sensitive hosting.
- Interest or background in DevOps, cloud, or trading risk platforms.
