Nicosia Cyprus Full-Time - Hybrid Working Model

Our client is a premier specialized provider catering to the needs of the financial industry, bringing decades of combined hands-on experience in financial services, alternative investments, banking, and payment services. The company is looking to recruit a Compliance/AML Officer for its regulatory compliance team in Nicosia.

You will be working within the team to ensure that regulated entities are in compliance with the regulatory framework along with their policies and procedures.

Job Description

  • Managing a portfolio of entities comprising of Cyprus Investment Firms (“CIFs”) and Alternative Investment Fund Managers (“AIFMs”), including:
    • Preparing the regulatory compliance and AML compliance monitoring programmes
    • Performing regular compliance and AML audits to ensure that compliance and AML standards and obligations are adhered to
    • Drafting and updating manuals, policies, and procedures
    • Preparing annual compliance and AML reports
    • Providing advice on compliance and AML issues
  • Providing assistance to the Chief Compliance Officer, including:
    • Preparing applications/notifications to CySEC
    • Drafting of compliance and AML training material
    • Reviewing laws and regulations
  • Working as part of a team on any other ad hoc compliance projects

Your Profile

  • Degree in Law, Business, Finance, or any other relevant field
  • Relevant previous work experience
  • CySEC Advanced/AML Certificates will be considered an advantage
  • Excellent command of the English language, both verbally and written
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Integrity and professional ethics
  • Independently manage workload and prioritize multiple tasks
  • Ability to analyze data, conduct research, and pay attention to detail
