Finance Team Leader

Nicosia Cyprus Full-Time - Hybrid Working Model Managerial Level

Reporting to the B2B Financial Controller, this role will be primarily responsible for many bookkeeping aspects of the accounting for our client. The role will be suited to a very hands-on Accountant within a busy but varied Finance Team. There will also be the opportunity for projects to improve system utilization and business intelligence.

Job Description

  • Monthly reporting for the entities that are allocated to this role
  • Working with the business to understand the P&L fluctuations and providing commentary on variances
  • Intercompany reconciliations
  • Working closely with the UK Finance team and providing cover for other team members
  • Working closely with external auditors for the annual audit and supporting the preparation of the statutory accounts
  • Supporting the budget process
  • Preparing and submitting Danish VAT returns
  • Supervising 2 junior staff members
  • Assisting and supervising client withdrawals and deposits.
  • Dealing with ad-hoc client queries
  • Contributing to various projects, such as automation and improvement of current processes and reports

Your Profile

  • Experience with general ledger and subsidiary ledger processing and related controls
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Practical accounting knowledge
  • A positive attitude and good teamwork skills
  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral)
  • Good at relationship building and influencing/persuasion
  • Conscientious with attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and deliver output
  • Ability to identify and implement process improvements and a commitment to improving the effectiveness of the process and reporting across the Group


  • Annual Leave: 21 days per year annual leave entitlement pro-rata
  • Paid Sick Leave: 8 days annually

  • Hybrid working: Minimum 2 times per week from the office
