Senior Shared Service HR Manager

Larnaca Cyprus Full-Time - Hybrid Working Model Senior Level

Are you looking for an exciting new challenge in a global business that puts people at the front and center of everything we do?

As the newest senior addition to our client’s team, you will be responsible for managing and motivating the HR team as well as setting KPIs. You will also be responsible for the development and delivery of HR processes and systems as well as negotiations with unions and staff representatives and support the people management functions that underpin the business.

This role covers the Central and Southern Europe Area (C&SEA) covering 19 Countries with colleagues-base in Belgium Italy, Germany, Greece, the Netherlands, Malta, Cyprus, and Austria. It will be instrumental in developing and implementing a shared HR Services Hub in Cyprus, with a focus on centralizing Payroll, and People support.

Job Description

  • Develop and implement a shared HR Services Hub, with a focus on global Pay and Rewarding and centralizing Area Payroll and HR support
  • Lead the HR function within the C&SEA and deliver a comprehensive HR service in line with corporate requirements, and legally compliant within each country of the C&SEA
  • Establish priorities and leads on HR policy and process development across the C&SEA
  • Ensure all Area policies and procedures are up to date and in line with current employment law across C&SEA
  • Ensure a good level of compliance, best practice, and customer service is being delivered at all times across all jurisdictions
  • Advise on complex employee-related casework ensuring the correct process is followed in each jurisdiction to minimize litigation risk
  • Ensure mandatory training is completed across all jurisdictions and implement the Area’s training agenda
  • Deliver manpower strategy within the region and manage talent and succession planning, preparing and maintaining the Area key post-succession plan; taking overall responsibility for recruitment activity and campaigns
  • Review pay and benefit across all jurisdictions and ensure local benchmarking is applied for countries in which staff is directly employed
  • Input in drawing up negotiating strategies and pay proposals with the Area Director taking the lead when required
  • Work closely with other Area HR Managers/Business Partners encouraging a collaborative working relationship and a holistic approach to HR across the organization
  • Work collaboratively with the HR senior management team, provide direction for colleagues across the Area as well as the Executive Leadership Team in respect of HR matters across the region
  • Provide significant input to the strategic direction of HR, partnering with the HR senior management team to develop and deliver the HR strategy, policies, and operational plans
  • Participate in high-profile global HR projects
  • Ensure the delivery of quality and timely HR advice, guidance, and support to the Area’s Leadership Team, line managers, and HR colleagues across the organization on all aspects of employment

Your Profile

  • Educated to degree standard or with equivalent experience and with post-graduate qualification in a relevant field, supplemented by significant international work experience
  • Good understanding of all functions and operations across the region as well as knowledge and experience gained in other organizations and C&SEA countries
  • Good understanding and experience of social legislation in several C&SEA countries
  • Full supervisory responsible, including performance reviews
  • Able to analyze and recommend solutions for complex and sensitive problems using judgment based on practice, precedence, and relevant country legislation
  • Interpersonal Skills: Complex and frequent communications are required, often of a sensitive nature and requiring a good level of influencing skills often at a senior level
  • Fluent in English (Greek and German or any other language is beneficiary)
  • Relevant European Employment Law qualifications
  • Proven track record in leading reorganization and change management programs
  • Experience in Implementing HRIS, Payroll Systems, and Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) on a local and global scale
