Larnaca Cyprus Full-Time - Hybrid Working Model

Reporting to the HR Manager, you will provide a first-class HR service for our client’s hubs in Germany, Greece, Cyprus, and Malta, supporting the area’s HR strategic aims and objectives. When required, you will contribute to strategy and the delivery of the area’s HR priorities and provide sound advice and support to managers and staff on all aspects of people management, per best practices and current legislation.

Job Description

  • Research, design, and implement HR projects on time and to budget and as directed by the HR Manager
  • Assist the HR Manager in preparing for negotiations and advise management in Union negotiations and agreements
  • Effectively manage the relationships with the unions and representatives, referring any issues to the HR Manager
  • Review, update, and draft HR policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with best practices and legislation
  • Provide HR advice in relation to employee relation matters, including assisting with investigations, and making recommendations for appropriate action
  • Co-ordinate and collate all performance appraisals and ensure proper process is followed, providing advice, as and when required
  • Ensure appropriate HR systems and processes are in place and continually improved to support operational needs, supporting and communicating changes where necessary
  • Ensure all terms and conditions of service are consistently and fairly implemented and applied, with all changes effectively communicated
  • Effectively manage the full recruitment, induction, and leavers process
  • Accurately maintain the HR information system in a timely manner
  • Collate and effectively communicate all legislation and payroll changes in a timely manner
  • Keep aware of HR best practices at all times and adhere to and promote all data protection legislation and best practice
  • Arrange hotel and flight bookings, when required
  • Translate verbal and written communications in Greek, English, and German, as and when required, including minute-taking
  • Provide cover for other administration functions and tasks, as and when required

Education and Knowledge

Essential

  • University Degree and a relevant recognized professional qualification
  • Demonstrable experience in a similar role for at least 4 years + experience of working in a generalist HR capacity in a complex organisation
  • Knowledge of Labour Legislation of the managed countries
  • Demonstrable experience in managing the recruitment cycle, ER casework, performance and absence management, and redundancy/leaver processes
  • Good command of the main IT tools and technological devices, including Microsoft Office
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal in English, German, and Greek

Desirable

  • Experience in an international working environment and communication in other languages
