Unique opportunity in Nicosia, Cyprus for a senior-level HR professional to join and drive forward the Cyprus operations of an e-commerce firm and its subsidiaries worldwide. As a key team player on the management team, this challenge is ideal for a people-driven, motivational and dynamic HR professional preferably from a tech or e-commerce background.

Job Description

  • Develops organizational strategies by identifying and solving human resources issues; contributing information, analysis, and recommendations to organizational strategic thinking and direction; establishing human resources objectives in line with organizational objectives
  • Support the annual year-end budgeting process from and HR and staff compensation viewpoint
  • Manages the year-end appraisal and bonus system for over 200 global staff, and works with senior management to promote positive outcomes to encourage strong staff morale and low employee turnover
  • Travel periodically to other business locations for short trips to engage with staff on site
  • Advises and guides senior management regarding local and global issues around employee taxes, legislation and practice
  • Implements human resources strategies by establishing department accountabilities, including talent acquisition, staffing, employment processing, compensation, health and welfare benefits, training and development, records management, safety, and health, employee relations and retention
  • Manages the HR functions overseeing successful recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, coaching, counseling, and disciplining staff; planning, monitoring, appraising and reviewing staff job contributions; maintaining compensation; determining production, productivity, quality, and customer-service strategies
  • Designing systems and processes; accumulating resources; resolving problems; implementing change
  • Supports management by providing human resources advice, counsel, and decisions; analyzing information and applications
  • Guides management and employee actions by researching, developing, writing, and updating policies, procedures, methods, and guidelines; communicating and enforcing organization values
  • Complies with governmental and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation; anticipating legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions

Your Profile

  • University Degree in Human Resources Management or related discipline
  • Experienced HR Manager with proven experience in Hiring, Developing Standards, Fostering Teamwork, Management Proficiency, Managing Profitability, Promoting Process Improvement, Building Relationships, Organizational Astuteness, People Skills, Retaining Employees
  • Experienced HR Management experience within the Tech or FinTech and/or Financial Services Industry
  • A fast-paced thinker with a solution-focused mentality and positive personality
  • Motivational leader
  • Flexible and resourceful in finding innovative solutions to complex HR issues and uncertainties.
  • Supportive, team player able to act as a bridge between Senior Managers and employees at all levels
  • Fluent English Speaker – additional languages advantageous
  • Willing to travel infrequently
