This exciting new role for a Sales Engineer will offer the successful candidate the opportunity to work remotely but take real ownership of the entire technical aspect of the sales engagement; his/her technical expertise will be relied upon to nurture potential leads and clients and present the products. This role suits someone who has excellent communication skills and a strong knowledge of this particular aspect of the software industry within the realm of forensics.

Job Description

  • To provide technical pre-sales support during the evaluation of our client’s software.
  • Consult on technical features and workflows
  • Develop expert knowledge of the software and typical client/industry workflows
  • Deliver on-site and web-based presentations
  • Help identify new business opportunities
  • Provide feedback to Product Management and Engineering on product functionality and future enhancements
  • Take the technical lead in responding to proposals and RFPs
  • Provide first-line technical support for Europe-based customers
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Report to VP of Marketing

Your Profile

  • College/University Degree or Diploma in Engineering, IT, Computer Science, or equivalent experience
  • Strong knowledge of forensics software solutions
  • 3+ years of experience in a Sales Engineering role
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to translate technical knowledge for different audiences
  • German and English languages are essential
  • Ability to travel 50% of the time
  • Resident in Germany. Preferred location, Berlin
  • Able and willing to work remotely; No office is required for this position at the time
  • Would suit candidates with profiles such as criminal/customs/federal court police officer, or someone with a legal background and market experience
  • Must be trustworthy, confident, likable with excellent negotiation skills and able to work both individually and collaboratively
  • Strong business acumen and able to build quick relationships
