Our client is looking for a talented and passionate Head of HR to join the team in the Nicosia office. As the Head of HR, you will assist the HR Director in managing all human resource aspects of the organization so as to ensure that the company has sufficient, adequate and competent personnel to enable the company to live its values and to achieve its vision and strategic objectives. Job Description

  • Actively promote a culture within the organisation and externally where our company is a leading employer of choice
  • Develop strategies by identifying and researching human resources issues and establishing human resources objectives in line with organizational objectives
  • Develop training and development plans depending on the company and department needs, and with the aim of offering career growth opportunities to our people, and coaching opportunities
  • Identify potential leaders within the organisation, to develop tomorrow’s leaders for the company and for the group
  • Lead the implementation of measures, policies, and initiatives aimed at motivating and empowering our people
  • Ensuring all decisions taken are in line with current employment legislation
  • Manage industrial and union relations, aiming to have a constructive rapport with the union
  • Lead negotiations with the unions to establish policies and agreements leading to the achievement of company objectives
  • Manage employee relations, ensuring effective communication with all employees on all matters concerning their relation with the company
  • Provide teams with the skills to effectively manage disciplinary and grievance matters, providing advice and assistance on complex disciplinary, grievance, bully and harassment cases
  • Take a proactive approach in developing policies and procedures are updated to reflect changes in Employment Legislation
  • Ensure managers have a full understanding of policies, both in principle and in practice and ensure a consistent and legitimate approach is adopted
  • Promote a culture where people’s performance should be reviewed regularly in a constructive but clear manner
  • Actively participate with other employment or HR related stakeholders
  • Support managers during pay negotiations relevant to market trends and conditions
  • Responsible for assessing talent and developing succession plans and ensuring implementation
  • Be an ambassador for equality and diversity
  • Carry out regular employee surveys, exit interviews, and other research to understand more about our employees
  • Prepare budgets, business plans and resource plans for the HR department
  • Lead, motivate and manage the HR management team, promoting effective internal communication, and offering opportunities for development and growth of the entire team
  • Implement and review the necessary KPIs and reporting mechanisms to ensure that there is sufficient, accurate and timely information to manage the business, and to ensure compliance with policies, procedures, service levels, budgets, etc.
  • Ensure compliance with the Security Policies, Risk Prevention, Data Protection, Quality and Environment established in the scope of their occupation
  • Ensure the preservation of the assets of the Company
  • Manage internal employee database ensuring compliance with all necessary regulations
  • Keep abreast with developments in the HR sector on an international level, taking particular note of transport aspects
  • Act as a general point of contact for employee relation matters with Government
  • Actively participate in the promotion of the company vision and values throughout the organisation
  • Manage the performance of the team within the department
  • Monitor HR budget

Your profile

  • University Degree in Human Resources Management or related discipline
  • 5+ Years of HR Management experience or 5+ years of related experience
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with strong business acumen
  • People oriented with excellent interpersonal skills and listening skills
  • Strong negotiating and influential skills
  • Results oriented, analytical, organized and methodical
  • Problem solving
