Our client, a fintech group with operations globally is now excited to be opening its latest, regulated start-up in Seychelles. This brokerage, now licensed and ready for launch is ready for its COO to come on board and take things to the next level.

The ideal candidate will be a Seychellian resident and CFA qualified with substantial experience within the FX industry and as a manager.

 

Job Description

  • Involvement in setting up the company from scratch in Seychelles
  • Operational management of the Company, provision of the overall day to day operations
  • Assurance of compliance with legislation and all FSA requirements, be the face of the company and in direct communication with FSA in connection to the company's regulatory affairs
  • Manage the relationship with company clients, contractors, and stakeholders
  • Ensure that all company projects are delivered on-time, within the scope and budget
  • Coordinate company resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of company goals
  • Overall supervision that the company's policies, arrangements, and procedures put in place to comply with the obligations under the Law and the Circulars are implemented and followed
  • Review the effectiveness of the above and in case of deficiencies take appropriate measures
  • Human resource management, ensure resource availability and allocation, ensure that the responsibilities of staff are accomplished to achieve business objectives by providing training and support to all subordinates
  • Overall supervision to ensure that the conflict of interest policies and procedures are followed by all members of staff
  • Overall supervision to ensure that Money Laundering policies and procedures are followed by all members of staff
  • Overall supervision to ensure that the Company maintains an adequate system of internal controls
  • Ensure that the targets and strategic policy objectives of the Company are adequately determined and communicated to all members of staff
  • Preparation and presentation to the Shareholder of all financial and business reports Liaise with the relevant authorities regarding the operations of the Company
  • Responsible for updating the staff of any changes in the legislation regulations and the company's Operational Manual
  • Determination, evaluation, and efficient management of the risks inherent in the provision of the investment services
  • Responsible for Risk Management issues, perform risk management to minimize company risks

Your Profile

  • Must hold a University degree – ideally a CFA holder
  • Must have at least 3 years’ experience working for a Securities Dealer Company with FSA license, have a full understanding of the Forex/Derivatives/Stocks industry
  • Fully fluent in English
  • A strong character with confidence that is able to thrive under pressure and meet deadlines
  • The candidate must have good communication skills to work within a diverse team internationally and assist in managing the team in Seychelles efficiently
  • Excellent organizational & communication skills
  • The candidate should have strong management and leadership skills, work great under pressure, hands-on and detail-oriented, able to develop and nurture effective relationships at all levels of the organization
  • Good verbal/written skills and presentation skills
  • Ability to maintain good working relations with service providers
  • Excellent networking skills
  • Ability to deal with difficult situations effectively and conclusively
