An excellent opportunity has arisen for a highly experienced Financial Controller to join an international client of ours. This role will be to financially lead and coordinate financial planning, cash-flow projections, and budget management functions, ensuring company accounting procedures and reporting conform to generally accepted accounting principles. Key aspects of this role will be to lead corporate financial planning, constant restructuring, and strategic tax/financial planning at a group level.

 

Job Description

  • Monitor and analyze the monthly operating results against budget
  • Oversee daily operations of the finance and accounting department - Team of 7 remotely
  • Manage the preparation of all financial reports
  • Manage the preparation of financial outlooks and financial forecasts at a Group level
  • Provide the CFO with the Group’s monthly results via reports & presentations
  • Ensure compliance with local, and per geographic location budgetary reporting requirements
  • Work with department managers to develop business plans
  • Assist in establishing short- and long-range departmental goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures
  • Design, establish and maintain an organizational structure to effectively accomplish the departments’ goals and objectives
  • Serve as primary government liaison relative to financial issues
  • Coordinate financial audits and provide recommendations for procedural improvements for each location with its audit procedure
  • Manage the TP analysis and implement agreements accordingly
  • Provide business owners with advice and support for growth plans which are constantly on the table
  • Manage the audit across the group
  • Act as deputy CFO
  • Represent the company externally to government agencies, auditors, and banks
  • Support M&As and constant analysis and due-diligence of potential companies

Your Profile

  • Strong business orientation (online industries are an advantage) and entrepreneurship ability and spirit
  • Master’s degree in finance, Accounting or Business
  • Strong Accounting experience
  • 10+ years’ experience in  mid to senior-level finance or accounting positions
  • CPA qualified (or equivalent)
  • Knowledge of automated financial and accounting reporting systems (SAP B1/Netsuite - advantage)
  • Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and projections
  • Working knowledge of short and long-term budgeting and forecasting, rolling budgets, and product-line profitability analysis
  • Experience in ultra-dynamic and fast paced technology businesses
  • Operational and personnel management experience is essential
  • Small and large project/program orientation
  • Ability to motivate teams to produce quality  within tight timeframes and simultaneously manage several projects
  • Experience working with Auditors and managing those relationships
  •  Experience with implementing efficient internal controls
  •  Strong excel skills
