Chief Accountant

Limassol Cyprus Full-Time Non-Remote

An excellent opportunity has opened up for a Chief Accountant to join the Accounting team in the Cyprus Office located in Limassol. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar position and be fluent in Russian, Greek and English. Job Description

  • Organise, develop and monitor the Accounting department’s work
  • Preparation of statutory accounts as required for relevant entities and assist with auditors’ queries and deliverables
  • Meet ad-hoc requests for information from business heads with strong analysis and problem solving
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant technical accounting standards and regulatory reporting
  • Annual Management Accounts / TB /GL preparation
  • Completing and submission of all tax reports according Cyprus law
  • Salaries and relevant individual taxes calculation
  • Maintaining relations with auditors, banks, tax consultants, service providers etc
  • Preparation of monthly management reports
  • Ensure compliance with the accounting standards and principles
  • Preparation of VAT/ VIES / Tax Returns / Defense Tax in accordance with Cyprus law and IFRS
  • Calculation and preparation of payroll
  • Preparation of social contribution / GESY payments
  • Liaising with Tax Authorities for any Tax /VAT related matters or to resolve any issues that may occur
  • Perform any other related duties as assigned

 Your Profile

  • Fluent Russian, Greek and English
  • Degree holder in Accounting and Finance or any relevant field
  • ACCA / ACA / CPA qualified will be considered an advantage
  • At least 5 years of experience in a Chief Accountant role
  • VAT/Tax knowledge
  • Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting methods
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office
  • Excellent communication and people skills
