AML Compliance & Monitoring Analyst

Nicosia Cyprus Full-Time - Non Remote

Our client is a licensed investment firm regulated by the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission and the Financial Services Board, currently hiring an AML Compliance &  Monitoring analyst to work within Cyprus for their office in Nicosia.

Job Description

  • Assist in the compliance risk assessment process ensuring that all compliance risks are appropriately identified, assessed, reported, and monitored
  • To assist with the maintenance and management of a robust and effective AML framework and ensure the Company’s compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Maintain a good understanding of AML related regulatory requirements and provide advice and guidance to the various departments
  • Assist in the preparation of periodic and other reports to be submitted to the relevant Financial Regulators
  • Assist with the development, implementation, and management of a risk-based compliance monitoring program
  • Conduct reviews/audits of AML Processes to ensure ongoing compliance with the predefine AML programs
  • Develop, maintain and update of compliance and AML manuals, policies, procedures, and controls and ensure their compliance with the relevant laws and regulations
  • Conduct due diligence on affiliates marketing channels to ensure compliance with the company's marketing requirements
  • Assist with the review and approval of financial promotions published by the company
  • Assist with any other Compliance related functions
  • Reporting to the Chief Compliance Officer

Your Profile

  • University Degree in Law, Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics or a relevant field
  • CySEC Advanced and AML officer certificate will be considered as a strong advantage
  • 1-2 years of AML compliance or 2-3 years of Backoffice/Accounting experience in the financial services industry
  • Ability to understand the KYC and Due Diligence process
  • Able to apply critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manipulate and interpret data in Microsoft excel
  • Experience with CySEC regulation will be considered a strong advantage
  • Proactive by nature
  • Fluency in English
  • Computer literate
  • Dynamic, hands-on and results-driven
  • Practical approach in understanding and applying regulatory requirements
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
